Ms. Conny Herrmann was presented with a 42″ Panasonic HDTV as the winner of Real Value IGA Supermarket’s inaugural Independence Photo Challenge.
The competition, which began on January 28th and concluded on February 28th, was intended to celebrate Grenada’s 37th year of Independence by showing off how IGA products can be integrated into the Grenadian way of life. As such, each and every entry had to include elements that would remind people of Grenada, Grenadians, or Independence, while also featuring an IGA product.
Submissions where sent to Real Value by either email or CD, and were then posted on the companies Facebook Page. The Real Value Facebook community were then given the chance to vote for each photo. The top ten photos at the end of the voting phase were advanced to the final judging phase.
After what must have seem like an extra long weekend, Real Value IGA announced on Monday 28th February that the runner-up prize (a $500 shopping voucher) was to be claimed by Dwain Thomas, while the grand prize would go to Ms. Herrmann.
Today, the media gathered in front of the store as General Manager Patrick Halout presented Ms. Herrmann with her new television.
